The Championship Season
“Prowlers Edge Broncos For State Title, 3–2”
Prowlers Top Region Eight Season
Going into the region eight tournaments, coach Dennis Rolle’s aggregation is holding down the number one spot.
After earning a 9-0 season record, the Prowlers were dumped by St. Paul Johnson, the defending state champions, 3-1.
Previous to this, the Prowlers gained impressive victories over Warroad, Roseau, and a very strong International Falls sextet by scores of 4‐2, 8‐1, and 3‐2, respectively.
After losing to Johnson, the local sextet got into the winning column again by scoring four straights, including victories over Roseau 3‐2 and Warroad 9‐0.
Next year may be a rebuilding year as Coach Rolle loses six seniors.

Rolle Retires As Hockey Coach
Mr. Dennis Rolle announced that he was going to retire as head hockey coach after he had led his charges to their second state hockey championship in three years.
Mr. Rolle came to Lincoln in 1948, and his teams have gone to the state five of the seven years he has been here. In state tournaments, his teams have won 12 of 15 games.
While he has been here, his teams have compiled a record of 109 wins and only 19 losses, for a phenomenal 852 winning percentage.
Mr. Rolle will leave an almost unbeatable record for the future Prowler mentors to shoot at.
